Phil Long's Question for 10/19-20
If the elites of the colonies during the Stamp Act rebellions were able to see 10 years into the future and glimpse the American Revolution, do you think they would have been appalled or excited? Do you think that they had revolution in mind when they protested the Stamp Act? If not, what (or who) changed their mind? How did Paine's Common Sense contribute to the Revolution atmosphere?

I think that they would have been excited about the Revolution. I dpn't know if they really had revolution in their minds at the time of the protest of the Stamp Act but i think it may have started to be an idea witha few. Common Sense probably did contribute to the revolution but i think that those few that may have had the idea of revolution also started to spread it and used the unequal treatment to help back them.
